Risk Based Inspections consist of the following components:

• Risk Identification, allowing you to define the risk associated with a failure mode. Risk is defined as the probability of failure times the consequence of failure. 
• Inspection Frequency, automatically adjusts an indicator’s collection frequency based on the age and/or condition of the asset. The higher the risk, the more frequently the inspection is performed, that is the shorter the failure mode and indicator frequency. Inspection strategies are evaluated as equipment condition changes. An inspection frequency profile consists of:
  • A triggering rule
  • Probability of failure
• Inspection Task Builder, automatically maintains the relationship between standard tasks and indicators. Includes changes to standard task triggering to selectively include only the indicators due to be collected.
• Indicator Collection Compliance, tracks compliance of indicator collection.
