The Ivara application framework allows sophisticated business logic to be defined by using framework tools to model states and validation. The framework also exposes the complete object model in a set of generated COM APIs. Using COM Compliant programming languages such as VB or C#, the programmer can interact with the Ivara object model while ensuring that existing standard business logic and security is consistently enforced. Behaviour can also be defined by modeling custom methods and event callouts to custom code for business objects at various points in an objects lifecycle. These events provide very powerful capabilities to enhance and extend the Ivara application. Extensive XML import and export capabilities are also available which includes a tool that allows modeling of XML Schema and Document formats from business objects, and APIs that allow full Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) semantics via XML.
