As a Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Specialist you will take on a leadership role in the evolution of Ivara’s RBI expertise, methodology and tools.  You will also be responsible for working with our clients to increase their asset performance by developing and implementing technologically sound maintenance programs based on risk based inspection techniques.  Using Ivara software and the Worksmart methodology, you will assist our clients migrate from reactive work environments to proactive planned maintenance, optimize the frequency and level of equipment inspection, and drive tangible business benefits through reduced maintenance cost and increased asset reliability.

       Responsibilities:

• Guide the evolution of Ivara’s RBI methodology, and assist in marketing our approach to prospective customers
• Perform risk assessments to identify the types of potential failure within a system of static equipment, the probability and consequence of failure, and the relative risk of the system.
• Identify barriers that can be introduced to mitigate the risk of failure
• Develop an inspection strategy to manage the risk of failure, and a process for refining the strategy and defining the scope and timing of the next inspection based on the current inspection results.
• Develop a strategy for managing the overall RBI program within a client
• Assist in implementing the Ivara EXP software and in training client resources on how to use EXP to support the RBI program.
• Train and coach client staff to become RBI facilitators.
• Work with a variety of job positions from shop floor to senior executives.
• Provide guidance on organizational change throughout project.
• Provide our clients with other reliability services as needed.

        Requirements:

• Engineering education or equivalent technologist or trade experience
• 5 plus years experience in facilitating and implementing risk based inspections in oil and gas, chemical, or other process industries with extensive static equipment.
• Knowledge of industry inspection standards such as API 580
• Experience in developing project scope, plan and project management
• Excellent facilitation, teaching, coaching and meeting management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Working knowledge of Office products
• Extensive travel required
• Desirable, but not essential…
  • Previous consulting experience
  • Experience with work identification tools including RCM, FMEA, or RCA
  • Experience in predictive maintenance and/or condition monitoring tools
  • Experience with Work Management and Asset Life-Cycle Management
  • Predictive Maintenance Application experience
  • Ability to speak and write in additional languages
